The house
Garnet & Glam is the one guests photograph. We took it down to the studs and put it back together ourselves — every surface in this house is new.
It came back soft blush — velvet against creamy gray walls, a burlwood table, an arched gold mirror with a delicate bow, and an electric fireplace set into a creamy gray built-in. It is unapologetically pretty, and it is the only one of our houses that looks like this. That makes it an easy pick for a girls' weekend — though it's just as comfortable for a work crew in town for the week, and we've had plenty of those too.
It's also 1.2 miles from Doak Campbell Stadium, which makes it the easiest house we own on a game weekend. Off the side of the house there's a porch strung with cafe lights for the evening, and a backyard with real room in it.

Where to leave the car.
- Park in the driveway first.
- There's more room on the right-hand side, on the grass and gravel — this is the one house where parking on the grass is fine.
- Street parking is available as well.
