The house
A 1950s bungalow in the middle of downtown Tallahassee, a short walk from the state Capitol. It's been fully updated without losing what makes a house that age good: wood floors, a front porch with a flag on it, and windows in every room.
Two bedrooms, a king in the main and a queen in the second, and one full bath. The kitchen is the surprise: stone counters, a full-size fridge and a long run of cabinets, more than you'd expect in a house this size.
It suits two couples, a small family, or anyone in town for the legislative session who wants to walk to work. Parks and restaurants are close enough to leave the car parked.
